Craig’s Message – The Gift of Christmas Cookies

Craig’s Message – The Gift of Christmas Cookies

This time of year, many people love to make and give away cookies for the holidays. Every ingredient in a cookie makes a huge difference to how the cookie comes out.

If you forget to put in the baking soda, the cookies will come out flat as can be. If you forget the vanilla, they would not taste the way they should. If you left out the chocolate chips from a Chocolate Chip cookie recipe, you certainly would not get the Chocolate Chip cookie that you were expecting!

It is the same with life. Sometimes we are waiting for all of the ingredients to come together. This Christmas Season I want to remind you that God has a great plan for you. And just like a great cookie recipe, all the ingredients have to come together in the right proportion for everything to be perfect.

2009 has been a hard year for many with our economy slowly recovering from what many are calling: The Great Recession. We don’t always understand why tough things happen. It’s hard when someone suffers a life-changing illness or accident, has financial woes or when a relationship hits the rocks. Don’t get stuck in bitterness. Trust that God has the right ingredients coming your way.

You may have seen chef Emeril Lagasse on television. When he adds an ingredient to the dish he is making he always shouts, “Bam!” If you have had a hard year, all God has to do is add in the missing ingredient and “Bam!” – your life becomes better.

You would not be alive if God was not planning more victories for your future. Just a little break, just one person, just one idea, just one touch of God adding a little “Bam!” to your life can turn everything around.

This Holiday Season, look for God’s hand in your life and His adding that perfect ingredient to bring the Joy of the Season into your world.

Have a Safe and Merry Christmas!
