Dangerous Phosphates

Phosphates are chemicals commonly found in soft drinks and many processed foods. Researchers at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom have found a dangerous link between high consumption of phosphates and atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries. Hardening of the arteries is the leading cause of heart disease.

Phosphates > Hardening of the Arteries > Heart Disease.

This equation is an easy one to break down. The British researchers conducting the study found more cholesterol deposits in the artery walls of people who ate a diet high in phosphates.

The conclusion is simple: Phosphates are bad for your heart health. It is best to avoid them when possible.

Next time you think about consuming a soft drink, you might want to think twice. Instead, pick up a refreshing glass of water with lemon or lime followed by a shot of ViaViente. Your heart will thank you.
