Maintain Your Brain with Vitamin B12 and Via

A new research study has linked lack of Vitamin B12 in older individuals to brain  shrinkage and memory problems. The results of this study are very important for our understanding of maintaining brain health as we age. As the brain gets older, it naturally begins to shrink and lose some size. The more severe brain shrinkage occurs in individuals with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

The study involved more than 100 people age 65 and older who were tested for their thinking skills and monitored for blood levels of Vitamin B12. Four to five years later the researchers looked at the individuals in the study again – particularly looking at the size of their brains.

The test subjects who displayed Vitamin B12 deficiency were more likely to have smaller brains and the lowest scores on thinking and memory tests. The subjects who had sufficient Vitamin B12 in their diets and in their blood levels had larger brains and performed best in thinking and memory tests.

Getting B12 in the diet is the first step. It is also important for the B12 to be easily absorbed into the body so it can work at the cellular level. ViaViente is a superior source of Vitamin B12. And because ViaViente is a liquid, the nutrients in Via are absorbed at a very high rate – more than 90% – compared to a much lower rate for vitamin pills.

To maintain your brain, get your ViaViente every day!
