Preventing & Relieving Arthritis

Arthritis is not inevitable as we age. There are several things you can do to prevent arthritis and the joint pain and discomfort that comes with arthritis.

First, exercise and stay active. The human body is meant to move. Exercise helps keeps your joints in good working order and doing the work that they were designed to do.

Second, maintain a healthy weight. When you walk, your knees absorb a force that is equal to three times your body weight. Simply losing 10 pounds relieves each knee of a 30 pound load with every step.

Third, consume an antioxidant-rich diet. Antioxidants are natural anti-inflammatories that will help reduce joint pain and swelling in your body.

Inflammation is the key symptom of both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Consuming foods that are known to fight inflammation will help you prevent arthritis in the first place and help relieve the pain and swelling of joints if you already have arthritis.

It is also important to limit your consumption of inflammation-triggering foods such as polyunsaturated vegetable oils (corn and soy oils) and partially hydrogenated oils found in many margarines, vegetable shortenings and processed foods.

ViaViente with its rich antioxidant formula of 11 whole fruits is your partner in arthritis prevention and relief.
