Being Happy With Who You Are
Throughout my life, I have seen that people can do extraordinary things when they are happy with who they are.
People who are happy with themselves are more relaxed. They reach out to people. They are more engaged with their work. They are more confident. They take more calculated risks. They bounce back faster when faced with adversity.
Being happy with yourself doesn’t always come naturally. Many of us have been born into life challenges and into families that have tried to limit our beliefs.

You Are A Winner!
Winners do the work that others will not do in order to accomplish what others cannot accomplish.
Do you see yourself as a winner?
Being a winner is as simple as committing to taking steps every single day toward achieving your goals.
You may not arrive at your goals today, but you WILL get there if you commit to doing the work.

Oral Health Impacts Your Whole Body Health
Dentists tell us to keep our gums healthy. Unhealthy gums can result in lost teeth and major dental issues. Beyond that, unhealthy gums and an unhealthy mouth can impact the health of our entire body.
Gingivitis is a periodontal disease that destroys mouth tissues with infection and inflammation. It targets gums, teeth, periodontal ligaments and tooth sockets.
A sticky substance called plaque adheres to the teeth, causing gingivitis and tooth decay. Having this plaque removed regularly by a dentist along with daily brushing and flossing helps keep your teeth and gums healthy. But if you let plaque build up, it will turn into tartar which is very hard. This tartar can cause your gum tissues to inflame and you will begin to see swollen, tender and bleeding gums.

This week our thoughts and prayers are with our Via Japan Family and the 350,000 Japanese people who remain in temporary housing as a result of the tsunami.

The End of Illness
Can understanding inflammation be the End of Illness?
Inflammation is the body’s healing response to infection and injury. Unfortunately inflammation is extremely powerful and can be destructive if it lingers beyond the point of healing the immediate problem that it is supposed to conquer.
When inflammation goes on too long, it spirals out of control, damaging the body. Chronic inflammation has been linked to arthritis, multiple sclerosis and asthma and appears to be the starting point for cancer, heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Dr. Mehmet Oz states that inflammation is transforming our knowledge of heart disease prevention as well as the prevention of other life-threatening illnesses.
In his new book The End of Illness, Dr. David Agus challenges our long-held beliefs about beating diseases such as cancer and heart disease.
