Success in 2010: Time Management, by Bill Pike

Success in 2010: Time Management, by Bill Pike

Every night I write down 5 “things” I have to do the next day in order of their importance.  The next day I start with one then go to two, etc.  99% of the people are always busy—I am talking about having a “to do list” and get that done so you won’t ever be busy—-trying to catch up—-we in this country are raised from day one to be busy, idle hands and all that.  Truth is—it’s all about results and getting done those things that have to get done to get results. This IS the key to time management.

“Busy” people don’t do the top 5 “things” every day so they run around trying to catch up on what they did not do to begin with—B.U.S.Y.—I say, do those 5 things and then take the day off.

How do you think I built companies but always had time to coach both my kids in ALL their sports, keep a happy marriage, etc?  This TIME MANAGEMENT concept changes people from those who “I’m here, I’m there, I’m everywhere” to “If you want a job done, give it to a successful person because they will find the time to do it.

“BUSY people are those when you talk about writing down the 5 things they “Are too busy.” CLUE OR WHAT?

THIS IS SHORT TERM, NOW LOOK LONG TERM–

Well, here is what will help for 2010:
1. Write down the 5 things how you are going to help your people in 2010.

2. Now create a totally separate list–write down the 5 things you are going to do to build your business. This is in addition to the 5 things you do with or for your people.

Work those lists in 2010. Commit to making the items on your list happen. Do them and you will be successful!
